The International Community Corrections Association will meet on Oct 29 - Nov 1 in Seattle. The conference theme is Integrating Public Health and Criminal Justice Reform to address issues related to: The Opiate epidemic; Employment; Homelessness; and Mental health.
Dr. Caleb Banta-Green from the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute will facilitate two panels:
- National physician experts on how and why to treat opioid use disorder while people are incarcerated and
- King County Opioid Task Force members discussing their perspectives on how to work together to improve public health and public safety and support recovery.
