A series of articles by ADAI scientist Bryan Hartzler and colleagues analyzes substance use disorders among patients in HIV care, including SUD prevalence, its impact on care retention, and identifying those at risk for developing cannabis use disorders.
The studies used data from the CFAR Network of Integrated Cohort Studies (CNICS), the first electronic medical records-based network to integrate clinical data from a large and diverse population (32,727 patients) of HIV-infected persons in the modern HAART era.
