The UW Fetal Alcohol and Drug Unit will present a webinar next week on "Children with FASD: Why Can't We Find Them?" in collaboration with the Indian Health Service TeleBehavioral Health Center of Excellence and the University of New Mexico. The presenter is Dr. Larry Burd, PhD, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, and Director of the North Dakota FASD Center and FAS Clinic.

Goals: At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Employ a validated screening tool for identification of FASD. The goal is for this tool to be routinely utilized in assessment of children in an academic setting where FASD is a possible concern.
- Apply intervention strategies designed to improve outcome for children with FASD that can be used in a school/community setting.
- Describe educational implications of the impairments identified in alcohol related neurodevelopmental disorder.
