As substance use disorders continue to impact people in our communities, treatment providers, parent and community organizations, addiction counseling students, and other stakeholders are seeking valid and reliable information about how best to provide support to those who are suffering.
The information needs of these groups range from basic education and prevention resources all the way to the need to monitor statistics and trends, provide referrals, prevent overdoses, and learn about evidence-based interventions. While a wealth of accurate information exists online, finding reliable, up-to-date information can be difficult, especially for those outside of academic settings.
To address that problem, the ADAI Library and Clearinghouse developed Find It! -- an online toolkit to help our users find relevant, accurate information about substance use disorders and related topics.

Funded by a grant from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine's Pacific Northwest region (NN/LM PNR), the toolkit includes a print brochure, a website, and an online training demonstrating some of the key tools and how to use them. We will also be demonstrating the toolkit to community groups and college classes.
The toolkit's website organizes resources in two ways to quickly direct users to information 1) by topic or type of information and 2) by type of user:

Each section features selected, vetted online resources that include web sites and reports developed by ADAI, the CDC, the National Library of Medicine, and more.
