The Tobacco Cessation Program offered by the UW's Hall Health Primary Care Center is increasing its FREE services for those in the UW community who want to quit using tobacco.
The campus medical center now has a part-time tobacco cessation specialist who can meet with students and employees on a one-to-one basis and in an educational/support group setting. In addition to the in-person discussions (which after the first meeting could take place by phone), there is follow-up at three and six months after the quit date.
The Tobacco Cessation Program also provides nicotine replacement medications such as Zyban and Chantix, including for those with no health insurance. To get started, visit the Tobacco Cessation Program website.
