This 1-day training is intended for physicians in primary care, psychiatry, HIV and pain and addiction medicine. The Drug Addiction Act of 2000 permits physicians who are trained or experienced in opiod addiction treatment to obtain waivers to prescribe certain narcotic drugs. Physicians who complete this course will receive the certificate of attendance needed to send to the Secretary of HHS along with the request for the waiver. CME credits available.
