The Washington State Coalition to Reduce
Underage Drinking (RUaD) is launching "Let's Draw the Line," a new campaign to help communities address underage drinking. "Let's Draw the
Line" will incorporate social media, online advertising, text messaging,
Hispanic radio, and individual efforts to send the message that:
* Providing alcohol to minors can cost you $5,000
and a year in jail.
* Alcohol advertising can encourage minors to drink. Washington has new rules
to reduce youth exposure to outdoor ads in their communities.
* Community members can help ensure these rules are followed.
For organizations interested in participating, RUaD will provide:
1. Printed cards (4"x3") with
campaign messages for handing out at events, and window clings
(4"x5") for store windows and beer coolers to inform buyers of the
penalties for providing to minors.
2. Downloadable web banners in English and
Spanish.
3. Radio scripts in English and Spanish
